Rock The Country is asking residents to nominate a “Hometown Hero” in Ocala who will win VIP tickets and a backstage tour at the festival when it returns next year.

Event organizers announced a new “Hometown Hero” sweepstakes last week that will look to recognize local residents in each of the ten cities with festivals.

“We’re looking for those who go above and beyond, showing kindness, loyalty, and compassion every day in your communities,” reads a statement from the organization. “If you know someone who’s not just a friend but a brother, sister, mother, or father to their community, it’s time to give them the spotlight they deserve.”

Nominations will be accepted through next week, and on November 18, the organization will open polls and allow communities to vote on the top five nominees from each city.

The nominee with the most votes in each city will be awarded the Hometown Hero package, which includes:

  • 2 VIP Tickets
  • Backstage Tour
  • Leading the Pledge of Allegiance on Stage
  • Rock the Country merchandise

Rock The Country will return to the Ocala area on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, 2025.

Although last year’s festival took place in Reddick, organizers have not yet announced the venue for next year’s Rock The Country.

Over 30,000 fans attended the first Rock The Country in the area, which took place on June 7 and June 8, 2024.

The inaugural two-day festival was headlined by Kid Rock and Jason Aldean and featured a star-studded slate of musical performing artists.

In addition to last year’s headliners, Rock The Country 2024 also featured performances by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Travis Tritt, and Trippp, among others.

Event organizers have not yet released the lineup for the 2025 concert series, according to the Rock The Country website.
