One of the top-selling bands of all time is scheduled to headline next year’s Rock The Country concert in Ocala, joining several other returning acts that include co-headliner Kid Rock.
The full lineup for next year’s Rock The Country concert in Marion County was released on Tuesday. and one of the top-selling bands of all time scheduled to headline.
Nickelback will join the show for next year’s Rock The Country, which returns to the Ocala area on May 9 and May 10, 2025.
According to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Nickelback has sold over 50 million albums and has over 10 billion streams of their music. They have over a dozen consecutive sold-out tours and are considered one of the highest-selling bands of all time.
On Tuesday, event organizers released the full list for Rock the Country, which will feature a return by co-headliner Kid Rock.
“It’s this simple, Rock The Country isn’t just a music festival, it’s a movement,” said Kid Rock in a statement shared by the organization. “It’s a place for hard-working, God-fearing patriots to gather as one and celebrate freedom, music, and the party of the year.”
In addition to the headliners, Hank Williams, Jr., Tracy Lawrence, Gavin Adcock, Jo Dee Messina, Diamond Rio, Mark Chesnutt, and several other music artists are scheduled to perform in Ocala.
Although Lynyrd Skynrd is scheduled to perform at some of the ten cities on the tour, the performance list in Ocala does not appear to include the band.
Last week, organizers behind the event asked local residents to nominate a “Hometown Hero” in Ocala who will win VIP tickets and a backstage tour at the festival. To nominate an individual, visit the Hometown Hero sweepstakes webpage.
The nominee with the most votes in each city will be awarded the Hometown Hero package, which includes:
- 2 VIP Tickets
- Backstage Tour
- Leading the Pledge of Allegiance on Stage
- Rock the Country merchandise
Although the 2024 Rock The Country took place in Reddick, the venue for next year’s event is the Florida Horse Park, which is located at 11008 S Hwy 475 in Ocala.
Over 30,000 fans attended the first Rock The Country in the area, which was headlined by Kid Rock and Jason Aldean.
