Don Anthony Osimitz, 68, born October 5th, 1956, succumbed to his 6 month Leukemia battle in the arms of his loving wife of 42 years on November 22, 2024, in Ocala, Fl.

Don is survived by his wife Zoa Osimitz, daughter’s: Noelle Steadman, Nivea (Shay) McElwain, his Awesomitz son Kyle (Lorena) Osimitz, brother Joe (Cathy) Osimitz, sister Deb (Rich) Sillars, brothers Bob (Laurie) Osimitz, and Greg (Linda) Osimitz. His grandchildren he adored: Tehya, Bode, Donavin, Maia and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Helen Osimitz.

Don (Ozzy) was unequivocally a selfless and loving man. He’d be the first to offer the shirt off his back to anyone in need: as anyone that knew him rarely saw him with one anyways. Shirtless Don was never shy to show too much thigh, rocking the cut off 80’s jean shorts. His steadfast confidence truly defined his strong unwavering character as a husband, father, and friend.

Don and Zoa met in 1983 and were married just 6 months later, Don’s charm and charismatic ways wooed her over as they fell deeply in love from the start. He adopted Noelle and Nivea and had Kyle 2 years later. His love for his family was without bounds and lasted a lifetime.

After his 35 year trucking career, Don and Zoa started a new life of traveling the country in their RV. Finally settling in a small gated community in Citra, FL surrounded by an amazing community of support.

Donny adored his dog Brindy and his wife’s 2 cats, loved motorcycling with his wife and friends, cutting wood, camp bonfires, hunting, watching his son do endless burnouts, being outdoors, and most of all being surrounded with family.

Donny will always be known as an “expletive” legend to whomever truly knew him.
