Lane closures will continue to be in effect this week along stretches of State Road 200 and Interstate 75 as crews continue making roadway improvements, including new sidewalks, curbs, and planters along SR 200.

Beginning Monday morning, outside lane closures will be in effect along SR 200 from SW 27th Avenue to U.S. Hwy 441/Pine Avenue every day from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, December 6.

The lane closure will allow crews to work on installing new concrete curbs, sidewalks, and planters along the roadway.

According to FDOT, the entire corridor will be resurfaced to extend the life of the roadway. FDOT says the upgrades will reduce vehicle conflict points while encouraging safer driving speeds.

Additionally, three pedestrian hybrid beacons are being installed between SW 35th Terrace and SW 34th Avenue, between SW 32nd Avenue and SW 26th Street, and between SW 12th Avenue and SW 10th Avenue.

FDOT is also advising motorists of periodic, overnight, rotating northbound and southbound lane closures along Interstate 75 for shoulder work and sodding.

Those closures will be in effect between Exit 350 (SR 200) and Exit 341 (County Road 484).
