Carswell (Sam) Eugene Bryant, 92 was born on April 19,1932 in Pearson, Georgia to Joseph D. & Mattie Bryant, passed away on December 1, 2024.
Sam was born in Pearson, Georgia and lost his mother at the age of 13 months old and was raised by his four sisters. He was the youngest of seven siblings. He joined the army at the age of 15 and was stationed in Germany and served for 4 years. He married Mary Jeanette Sears July 25″, 1952. She was his middle school sweetheart and the love of his life. They were married for over sixty years at the time of her death. They built a beautiful life together and raised three children, Wayne, Greg, and Kim.
He had a successful construction business in Gainesville, Fl, Quality Drywall, and retired at the age of 70. Sam never met a stranger and well liked in the business community.
Sam was a man who imbodied kindness, generosity, and an unshakeable love for his family. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Reddick, Fl and loved God, his church and his church family. At age 92, he never missed that short drive to church on Sundays.
Sam remained active up until the time of his death. He gardened, mowed his yard, and pruned his shrubs and grapevines to perfection. He never complained and his sense of optimism and gratitude was contagious.
He truly will be missed by all.He preceded in death by his parents Joseph D. & Mattie Bryant, spouse, Mary Jeanette (Janet) Bryant, son, Gregory Ralph Bryant, son-in-law, Scott Albright, siblings, Don Bryant, Margaret Horne, Louise Meeks, Vida Herrin, Doris Roberts.
Sam is survived by his children Wayne C. Bryant (Linda), Steinhatchee, Florida, Kimberly Layne Albright, Reddick, Florida, grandchildren Wayne Bryant, Jr., Stacey Files (Tommy), Justin Bryant (Korey), Spencer Lamb, Elliott Lamb (Bethany) Matthew Cody Albright, Casie Mason (Dylan), Chase Albright (Madison), great-grandchildren Kyra Files, Jordan Bryant, Khloe Files, Harper Mason, Piper Murphy, Levi Mason, Charlotte Albright and brother Joseph D. Bryant, Jr. (Phyllis).
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church, 15250 NW 42″ Terrace, Reddick, FL 32686 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Millwood Cemetery — NW 165″ ST., Reddick, FL
