An assisted living facility in Marion Oaks has been sold for $3 million to a company that provides behavioral healthcare services in various communities across Florida.
Marion Oaks Assisted Living was sold for $3,000,000 to SMA Healthcare, Inc., on Thursday, December 19, according to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts.
Located at 3590 SW 137th Loop in Ocala, the .46-acre site was previously owned by CMD & G Investments, LLC. State corporate records show that CMD & G Investments, LLC is owned by Suchitra Challa and Veerendra N. Kandru, both of Gainesville.
The property is situated just off Marion Oaks Boulevard, just south of the roadway’s intersection with SW Highway 484.
According to Marion County property records, the site with the facility is approximately .46 acres in size. The 20,000-square-foot structure on the property was constructed in 2014. In 2018, property records show that a 1,000-gallon gas tank was installed at the site.
According to its website, SMA Healthcare, Inc., has been providing behavioral healthcare services for over 55 years to individuals living with addiction, mental illness, or both.
Currently, SMA operates an outpatient mental health clinic at 5664 SW 60th Avenue in Ocala.
