Tens of thousands of acres of residential and commercial real estate was sold in Ocala and Marion County in 2024, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in sales from horse farms, multi-acre properties, and commercial facilities.
Marion County Property Appraiser records show that there were over 24,000 real estate transactions totaling over 45,500 acres in Marion County throughout 2024.
At least 1,000 of those transactions involved properties that were sold for $1 million or more.
Over the year, Ocala-News.com reported approximately 40 of the largest real estate transactions that took place in the area.
In total, the nearly four dozen transactions that we reported about in 2024 generated nearly $345 million in sales. All of those transactions were at least $1 million as well.

Earlier this week, Ocala-News.com reported that over 6,422 new homes and apartments were approved or built in Ocala in 2024.
