A 25-acre property in northwest Ocala that features an equestrian rehabilitation and therapy center was just sold for $2.7 million, marking the fifth multi-million dollar sale of a local equestrian estate in the last month.
The property was sold by H & R Real Estate, LLC to Because of Blue, LLC, for $2,711,427 on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, according to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts.
Located at 5590 NW Hwy 225, the 25.58-acre property is situated just a couple miles northwest of Golden Hills Country Club.
Marion County property records show that the site has seen the addition of several structures over the past 40 years, including large barns, stables, equine therapy facilities, and a commercial swimming pool, among others.
According to state corporate records, H & R Real Estate, LLC, is owned by Michael T. Hall. Records for Because of Blue, LLC, show that the company has a registered address in New Jersey.
According to Marion County property records, H & R Real Estate, LLC, purchased the property for $1,200,000 in April 2017 from Sanctuary Holdings, LLC, a Miami-based company that has since been dissolved.
The sale of yet another equestrian estate in Ocala comes in light of several other similar property sales.
Last month, another estate just a few miles away was sold for $2.8 million.
That same day, a 12-acre horse farm nearby in Reddick was sold for $2.2 million.
A day before those two properties were sold, a 100-acre farm was sold nearby in northwest Ocala for $6.4 million.
And just a few weeks before those properties were sold, a 38.65-acre property was sold for $3,665,000 and a 74.4-acre horse farm sold for $4,400,000. Both were also in the northwest part of the city.
