To the Editor:

I could not agree more. I’m becoming so disgusted with what is happening in Ocala that I would leave if it was feasible.

The traffic, the ugliness that’s happening on Highway 200 with storage facilities, car washes, gas stations, and the seemingly endless construction of retirement communities and three-story apartment complexes.

Where are these people and their vehicles going to go?

It appears it’s going to get much worse very quickly. I’m disgusted by the lack of control of growth in this once pleasant community. Living here has become a rat race compared to what it was only seven or eight years ago.

Who in the city has decided to let this happen to Ocala? The entire state of Florida seems hell-bent on destroying what people come to Florida for.

In addition, we have a shortage of doctors and most people I know have to now wait three to four months to get an appointment with a doctor. We might as well move to Canada.
