A business that specializes in traditional Mexican cuisine is working on a new brick-and-mortar location in south Ocala.
Antojitos Doña Nelly is currently working on building a new restaurant in the Oaks Village Plaza, which is located at 253 Marion Oaks Boulevard.
According to state corporate records, the business is owned by Veronica Dias and Arturo Gomez Pereyra.
Currently, the business is operating a food truck outside of the space it is building out.
Before that and for the last several months, Antojitos Doña Nelly has been operating a food truck out of the Ocala Food Trucks Park, which is located along County Road 484.
According to its menu, the new restaurant will serve a variety of tacos, tortas, quesadillas, tostadas, sopes, gorditas, and other entrees.
Although no opening date for the brick-and-mortar location has been announced, when it opens, it will join multiple other Mexican restaurants that have opened their doors in Ocala over the past year.
El Rinconcito Mexican Grill & Cantina took over a space on S Pine Avenue, El Patrón Mexican Grill and Bar opened a new restaurant along State Road 200 in the Summer, La Catrina Cocina Mexicana opened in Churchill Square in April, and My Quate Taste-Mex opened just a few blocks from El Rinconcito last February.
In addition to those that have opened, Mi Familia Mexicana Restaurant is also currently renovating a new space within Six Gun Plaza.
