Louis John Craca, 70, of Ocala, FL entered eternal rest on May 10, 2026.

Lou was born in Miami, FL to Anthony P. Craca and Agnes J. Colton Craca on October 20, 1955. A graduate of Hialeah High School, he dedicated 35 years of service to the Marion County Road Department. Beginning his career as a highway maintenance technician, he advanced up from light equipment operator to heavy equipment operator and supervisor.

He received an award of appreciation for his years of dedication and commitment to the Marion County Board of County Commissioners. Outside of work, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting.

Lou is survived by his sister, Christine Fortier; nieces, Katrina Gray, Kimberly Rivera, Elizabeth Johnson, Jordan Fortier, Victoria Osmani; great-nieces and great-nephews,Spencer Johnson, Haylee Johnson, Antonio Ortiz, Natalia Rivera, Dylan Cotten, and Alysa Johnson; great -great -niece, LeijLa Snow White, and great -great -nephew, Jackson Cotten. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Catherine Kolbek.

In place of a traditional funeral service, Lou’s wish to be consigned to the sea will be honored in a private ocean burial service at a date to be determined.
