Two men were arrested recently after Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to a Citra residence to investigate a possible disturbance.

When deputies arrived at the home on N.E. 165th Lane on March 31, they discovered that 34-year-old Justin Arnold Arredondo had an active felony warrant out of Alachua County. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail.

Deputies also were notified that another man at the residence, 41-year-old Jimmy Leroy Gray, was wanted on two active felony warrants. Gray was found hiding in an outside shed under a blanket. He refused commands to come out and was then apprehended by a K-9 deputy and his dog, placed under arrest and transported to the jail.

Arredondo, of Citra, was charged with violating his probation on an outstanding Alachua County warrant for aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony. He was being held on no bond and his next court date hasn’t yet been set.

Gray, also of Citra, was charged with resisting an officer without violence and outstanding warrants for previous charges of battery (second or subsequent offense) and assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. He was being held on $5,000 bond and is due in court May 4 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
