Air conditioning unit stolen from Ocala church

An air conditioning unit was reportedly stolen from an Ocala church Sunday afternoon.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to Kendrick Deliverance Church located at 6767 NW 38th Avenue in reference to the theft of a window mounted air conditioning unit, according to an incident report. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim’s son, who reported the incident, and advised that some time between 8 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, an unknown person or unknown persons stole a gray Frigidaire window mounted air conditioning unit valued at $600. Approximately $200 in damage was done to the window when the unknown suspects removed the air conditioning unit.

The victim’s son advised the deputy that his father is the pastor at the church. He also advised that he was at the church on Saturday and left around 8:00 p.m., stating that the air conditioning unit was there and working.
