A 41-year-old Ocala man riding an all terrain vehicle died as the result of a crash Monday in Marion County.
Kevin Lynn Bayman had been riding a 2008 Yamaha at 6:35 p.m., traveling south on SW 153 Loop just south of SW 158 St. Rd when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the road, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The motorcycle traveled off the paved portion of the roadway onto the west shoulder. It continued in a southerly direction into the under brush and shrubbery and overturned onto its left side.
Bayman was transported to West Marion Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He had not been wearing a helmet, the report noted.
