Marion County man tracked down in theft of electronic vape in The Villages

A Marion County man has been tracked down as a suspect in the theft of an electronic vape smoking device at a Best Buy store in The Villages.
The man was captured on video surveillance entering the store at about 3:30 p.m. March 11 and selecting the K1 Smok Mag 225w black tank with a red mouthpiece. He took the item, valued at $130, into the Auto Installer bay and made an appointment, providing his phone number. He left the store with the item and did not keep the appointment.
Through social media, 29-year-old Steven Rey Segura of Summerfield was identified as a suspect. He has an extensive criminal history, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A warrant was obtained for his arrest.
Segura was spotted driving a black Jeep on March 23 in Lady Lake. He was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $2,000 bond.
A passenger in his Jeep, 25-year-old John Wesley Walker of Summerfield, was determined to be wanted on three Marion County warrants, including grand theft and failure to pay child support. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $4,860 bond.
