Ocala firefighters rescue injured worker from top floor of construction site

Crews from Ocala Fire Rescue were called Tuesday around noon to help rescue an injured worker at a construction site.

Crews from Ocala Fire Rescue provided treatment and then removed an injured construction worker from the top floor of a building on Tuesday.

When firefighters arrived at the site in the 2600 block of SW College Road in Ocala, they discovered that the injured worker was on the top story of a building that was under construction.

Paramedics provided treatment and secured the patient in a stokes basket. Firefighters used the bucket of Tower 1 to lower the injured worker to safety, followed by transport to a local hospital.

Crews from Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the incident.
