Marion County Fire Rescue pronounces Pennsylvania couple dead after crash with teen

Marion County Fire Rescue pronounced a Pennsylvania couple dead after a crash with a teen driver early Saturday morning on State Road 326.

A 66-year-old man from King Of Prussia, Pa. and a 67-year-old female passenger, also from King of Prussia, Pa., had been traveling at 1:10 a.m. in a sport utility vehicle making a left turn off State Road 326 onto NW 77th Street when he failed to yield the right of way to an 18-year-old driver from St. Pete Beach at the wheel of a car which had been eastbound on State Road 326, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Pennsylvania couple was pronounced dead at the scene.

The teen escaped with minor injuries.   

The Pennsylvania couple had not been wearing seat belts, the report noted.
