One person was transported to a local hospital Tuesday after a fiery two-vehicle crash in Ocala.
Crews from Ocala Fire Rescue responded to the crash at 6:33 p.m. on N.W. Blitchton Road, just west of Interstate 75. When they arrived, they found an unoccupied vehicle on the roadway with its engine compartment engulfed in flames. A second vehicle involved in the crash was parked at a nearby Chevron gas station, a report states.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames using a jump line from an engine. The driver of the burning vehicle was transported to a local hospital and there were no other injuries reported, the report says.
Officers from the Ocala Police Department and crews from Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the incident.
