Warrior Wheels Ride to benefit veterans on Feb. 28

A Warrior Wheels Ride for Awareness to benefit veterans is coming to Ocala later this month.

The ride, which will take place on Sunday, Feb. 28, will kick off at 9 a.m. at the Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park (2601 E Fort King Street).

Riders will be routed to various points all around the cities of Ocala and Belleview. The ride costs $20 a rider and $10 for extra riders. The event will take place until 7 p.m. and will include giveaways, prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

Proceeds from the event will be used toward the purchase of a vehicle for a local veteran.

The event is being hosted by The Birdwell Foundation for PTSD, a nonprofit organization that assists veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
