Councilman Ire Bethea, Sr. said, “I think it says something to the leadership of the city of Ocala to look out for people that really, really need the jobs. And the people have stepped up and they are doing a good job for us.”

The fourteen companies provide a variety of grounds maintenance services including mowing and trash cleanup, across stormwater drainage retention areas throughout the area.

The fourteen companies selected include North Central Florida Landscaping and Lawn Care, LLC, Terry Clark Services, Inc., W-N-W Landscaping, and Top Quality Lawn Maintenance, LLC, to name a few.

All fourteen companies are certified as Diverse Small Business Enterprises, meaning that they are at least fifty-one percent owned and operated by minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, veterans, or veterans with disabilities.

With today’s approval, all of the companies will receive a three-year contract, with an option for one additional two-year renewal.

The total funding for all of the contracts is $909,300 over a three-year duration through September 30, 2024.
