Ocala Regional Medical Center updates visitor policy

Ocala Regional Medical Center has made an update to its visitor policy.

Two visitors per non-COVID-19 patient are now permitted inside ORMC (1431 SW 1st Avenue). The visitors must be at least 18 years old, though special circumstances may allow for exceptions.

Visitation hours are from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

Surgical patients, visitors with no COVID-19 symptoms, and outpatient testing should enter ORMC through the main entrance.

The emergency room entrance is reserved for medical emergencies.

All visitors must wear a mask at all times while inside the hospital. To help maintain social distancing, visitors are encouraged to remain in the patient’s room as often as possible during the visit.

Any visitors showing signs of respiratory illness or fever will not be permitted inside, and will instead be offered to go to the emergency room for treatment.

For more information, visit the Ocala Health COVID-19 website.
