A Jacksonville man was killed and two Ocala residents were injured in an accident on SW State Road 121 in Alachua County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s incident report, on Saturday at around 4 p.m., a 29-year-old Jacksonville man was traveling north in a sedan on SW State Road 121, nearly a quarter-mile north of County Road 346A.
A pickup truck was parked and facing south on the west shoulder. A 42-year-old Ocala man was behind the steering wheel, two children (ages 10 and 11) were in the passenger seats, and a 35-year-old Ocala woman was outside of the truck.
The sedan crossed the center line, continued off the roadway, and collided with the truck head-on.
The driver and sole occupant of the sedan was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The man inside the truck and the woman both sustained minor injuries, and both children were not injured.
The names of everyone involved in the accident were not released, per FHP policy.
