Volunteers needed at Fort King National Historic Landmark

Fort King National Historic Landmark is currently looking for volunteers to help on the weekends.

On Saturday mornings, the chosen volunteers would assist Fort King’s visitor and archaeology centers located at 3925 E Fort King Street in Ocala.

The uniformed volunteers would serve as a front-line representative at the visitor center by answering questions and providing resource materials.

Other duties would include assisting park staff at special events, going into the field to become familiar with area resources, opening and closing the visitor center, and conducting tours of the facility.

Volunteers are expected to be available for at least one three-and-a-half hour shift each month.

For more information, visit the Ocala Recreation and Parks volunteer opportunities webpage.
