Two people were hospitalized following a crash at the intersection of NW 8th Street and N Pine Avenue in Ocala on Monday.
At around 11 a.m., Ocala Fire Rescue’s Engine 3, Rescue 3, Tower 1, Battalion Chief 22, and a Safety Officer responded to the intersection.
When crews arrived, they found a black compact SUV on its side and a silver sedan with moderate front end damage.
The driver of the sedan was sitting inside the vehicle. A passenger inside the SUV had climbed out, and the driver of the SUV needed assistance exiting the vehicle.
The SUV was stabilized, and firefighters helped the driver exit out of the back of the vehicle.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the crash.
The names of everyone involved in the accident were not released.
