Young Artist Competition winners joining Ocala Symphony Orchestra on stage this weekend

The two winners of the 2022 Young Artist Competition will be performing on stage with the Ocala Symphony Orchestra this weekend.

The orchestra will present “The Unfinished” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 20 at the Reilly Arts Center located at 500 NE 9th Street in Ocala.

Principal guest conductor Raymond Chobaz will lead the orchestra through a program that includes the two winners of the 31st Annual Young Artist Competition: 12-year-old violinist Kye Richardson and 20-year-old pianist Elisabeth Thomashoff.

Both upcoming performances will feature the music of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (Ballade), Franz Shubert (The Unfinished), Niccolò Paganini (The Violin Concerto No. 1), and Dmitri Shostakovich (Piano Concerto No. 2).

Tickets are currently available for adults ($15 to $40) and students ($10). Complimentary tickets are also available for non-profit and youth organizations as part of the Access for All program.
