Artrageous returns to Reilly Arts Center this weekend for immersive art and music experience

Art, music, and comedy will be blended together during a one-of-a-kind interactive show at the Reilly Arts Center this weekend.

Artrageous will feature a dozen performers as they create custom artwork on the Reilly Arts Center stage (500 NE 9th Street) at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 14.

A troupe consisting of artists, dancers, singers, and musicians will bring a high-energy performance that mixes fine art, live music, singing, dancing, humor, and audience interaction.

The show is often described as “Blue Man Group meets Picasso,” according to Artrageous.

Audience members are encouraged to bring t-shirts or items to put into a “Creation Lab,” and one of the Artrageous artists will create a piece of wearable art. This is included in the price of admission.

At the end of the performance, the audience will have an opportunity to check out the artwork, meet the troupe, and walk through the gallery of live art. One lucky person in the audience may also get to take home a piece of art created during the live performance.

There are still some tickets available for this weekend’s show, and they range from $10 to $35. The show was originally scheduled for February 5, and tickets that were purchased for that date are still valid for the event.
