Ocala FPRA speakers to share tips on research, creating successful videos

The Ocala Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will hold its monthly professional development meeting on Thursday, July 14 at the College of Central Florida in Ocala.

The meeting, which will be held at the college’s Klein Conference Center located at 3001 SW College Road from noon to 1 p.m., will feature two guest speakers: Allison Campbell and Marc Rice. They will present “Speed Rounds,” and they will offer insights on research along with tips and tricks for video production.

Campbell, accredited in public relations and a certified public relations counselor, is principal owner of A&A Campbell Group, an adjunct college communications instructor, and she currently serves as vice-chairwoman of the Marion County School Board.

During the upcoming meeting, Campbell will showcase the importance of research that is quality, measurable, and relevant in her presentation, “Research? Who has time for that?”

Rice, video producer and Emmy award winner, is founder and executive producer of Digital Fury, an Ocala-based company that serves clients throughout the country. Rice has over 22 years of experience telling meaningful, creative stories that drive business growth.

During “Your Best Video,” Rice will offer ways to make videos stand out with quality audio, lighting, and shot composure.

Both Campbell and Rice are members of the FPRA Ocala Chapter.

The cost to attend the in-person meeting, which is open to the public and includes lunch, is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. The reservation deadline is Wednesday, July 6.
