One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision with rollover that occurred on State Road 200 on Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 10:45 a.m., Ocala Fire Rescue responded to the intersection of State Road 200 and SW 23rd Avenue due to reports of a motor vehicle accident with rollover and possible entrapment.
Upon arrival, OFR’s Engine 4 unit observed a white Nissan SUV with moderate front damage and a silver Jeep SUV with intrusion to the passenger side, a broken windshield, and a shattered sunroof.
According to OFR, both drivers were able to walk, though the Jeep’s driver required assistance exiting the overturned vehicle. Crews used the broken sunroof’s opening to help remove the driver from the vehicle.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident. No other injuries were reported.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
