Ocala Recreation and Parks Department to host community town hall meeting on September 17

(Update: On September 13, 2022, the City of Ocala announced that the community town hall meeting has been rescheduled, and it will now take place on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.).

The public is invited to a community town hall meeting that will be hosted by the City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department on Saturday, September 17.

The town hall meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center, which is located at 1510 NW 4th Street. During the free meeting, those in attendance will learn more about the recreation, parks, and cultural arts divisions within the department.

The city encourages community members to attend the meeting in order to ask questions and provide feedback on various programs and events that are offered by the Ocala Recreation and Parks Department.

“It is the goal of this series of community meetings to create a direct line of communication between City of Ocala departments and employees and the community members we serve,” says Jacob Baker, Recreation Program Supervisor at the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center.
