Ocala Main Street to host family-friendly event on New Year’s Eve

Ocala Main Street will host a family-friendly event in Downtown Ocala this Saturday to ring in the new year.

The event, First Night Ocala, will take place on Saturday, December 31, from 5 p.m. until midnight, and it will feature plenty of entertainment at multiple locations throughout Downtown Ocala.

According to Ocala Main Street, the event will include a live band, stage magician, samba dancers, art exhibits and galleries, comedy shows, bounce houses, face painting, animal encounters, stilt walkers, caricature artists, and more.

Tickets are required to gain entry to the event. The cost is $15 per person for anyone ages 6 and older, and children under 5 years of age can attend the event for free.

Tickets are currently available online, and they can also be purchased up to the day of the event at either Tuscawilla Park (from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) or the Downtown Square (from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.).
