Festival Latino returns to Citizens’ Circle on March 25

Festival Latino will return to downtown Ocala on Saturday, March 25 to celebrate Latin culture with food and music.

The third annual installment of the festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Citizens’ Circle, which is located at 151 SE Osceola Avenue in Ocala. The multicultural event will highlight different Latin American countries with food and music from Plena de Barrio, Mariachi America Canta, Grupo Kon Clase, and DJ Joe Ortiz.

The host of this year’s Festival Latino is PartyMix Productions. Along with live music and food trucks, the event will also include kiosks, handcrafts, and activities for the children in attendance.

“Ocala and Marion County are growing every year. In 2020, the U.S. Census told us that Marion County’s Hispanic/Latino population grew to 14.9%, making it the largest minority group in the area. This number made me realize how important it is to celebrate Latin culture,” stated Joe Ortiz, founder and president of PartyMix Productions.

“We are a diverse group of people, but we can all relate to our love for music, food, and community,” added Ortiz.

The upcoming festival is free to attend and open to the public.
