Rollover crash in SW Ocala sends driver to hospital

A driver was hospitalized on Thursday following a single-vehicle crash with rollover that occurred near an intersection in southwest Ocala.

In a social media post on Thursday afternoon, Ocala Fire Rescue stated that units consisting of Engine 4 and Rescue 4 responded to the scene of the accident and observed a vehicle with a shattered windshield, bent roof, and front-end damages.

According to OFR, the rollover occurred shortly after the vehicle’s driver attempted to avoid a collision at the intersection of SW 38th Street and SW 60th Avenue.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle sustained injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital. The driver’s name, age, and gender were not released by Ocala Fire Rescue.

No other injuries were reported.

The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
