A 53-year-old Micanopy man was found deceased inside a pickup truck on Sunday morning after the vehicle was spotted in a wooded area.
At around 7:30 a.m., a gray Mazda pickup truck was observed in a wooded area off the roadway on County Road 346, to the west of County Road 325, in Alachua County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol incident report.
FHP stated that the body of the male driver was discovered inside the pickup truck. The report stated that the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and he was not wearing a seatbelt.
No further details were provided in the report. According to FHP, the reason for the crash is currently under investigation.
