The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash in Levy County that killed a 34-year-old Dunnellon man on Thursday morning.
In the early morning hours, the man was lying in the roadway on NE 110th Lane, north of Bronson, when a vehicle struck him and then left the scene of the accident, according to the FHP incident report.
The man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene at 5:53 a.m. His name was not released by FHP.
The fatal crash occurred between 4 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. The color, make, and model of the vehicle involved in the accident is currently unknown, according to FHP.
