Ocala Arts Festival returns this weekend for 56th installment

The Ocala Arts Festival will return to downtown Ocala this weekend with an exhibit featuring artwork from over 150 artists.

The 56th installment of the annual festival will be held on Saturday, October 28, and Sunday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each year, the event draws more than 25,000 visitors to the historic downtown Ocala.

According to Fine Arts for Ocala, the organization behind the event, this year’s festival will feature numerous vendors, live music on two stages, an array of food trucks, children’s activities presented by the Appleton Museum of Art, and more.

A total of 155 artists from around the country are participating in this weekend’s festival. While showcasing their artwork, the artists will also be competing for $27,000 worth of awards, including Best of Show.

There is no cost to attend the two-day festival, and parking is also free. In addition, there will be free children’s art projects along with free live entertainment throughout the event zone.
