The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation after a car crashed into a home in northwest Ocala on Tuesday evening.
Shortly after 8 p.m., Marion County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the 4400 block of NW 78th Avenue in Ocala after receiving reports that a vehicle had crashed through a residence in the area, according to MCFR.
“It was unknown if anyone was trapped in the vehicle,” stated MCFR on social media.
Within minutes, firefighters from MCFR’s Golden Ocala Station #20 arrived on scene and observed a vehicle inside the home with heavy damage.
Additional MCFR units soon arrived on scene to assist with stabilizing the scene.
The driver of the car sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital. The driver’s name, age, and gender were not released by MCFR.
There were no injuries reported to the homeowners or firefighters on scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
