The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Marion County and at least 14 other counties in north Florida, advising the possibility of tornadoes, hail, and scattered gusts up to 70 miles per hour.

Earlier this morning, the NWS issued Tornado Watch 241, which will be in effect until 1 p.m.
Marion County joins several other counties in north and northeast Florida that are under tornado watch including Baker, Flagler, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau, Duval, Putnam, Alachua, Gilchrist, Bradford, Columbia, Hamilton, Suwanee, and Union.
The watch also specified the municipalities in the aforementioned counties, including Ocala.
