Nightly lane closures will be in effect for several days on a stretch of County Road 484 as crews continue making improvements to widen and extend turn lanes at the roadway’s interchange with Interstate 75.
Beginning Sunday, June 30, the Florida Department of Transportation nightly lane closures will be in effect along CR 484, from the roadway’s intersection with County Road 475A to the roadway’s interchange with I-75.
The lane closures will take place each night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through Wednesday, July 3. During that time, crews will be working on drainage, according to FDOT.
Motorists are advised to reduce their speed and “exercise caution” throughout the construction zone.
The project (433651-1) along CR 484 will also improve bicycle lane and pedestrian sidewalk connectivity, according to FDOT. It is expected to be complete later this year.
Earlier this week, FDOT implemented a series of ramp closures at the I-75 and CR 484 interchange as part of its ongoing efforts to resurface and improve the highway and connecting roadways. That project calls for resurfacing I-75 throughout all of Marion County.
