A fast food chain with over 500 locations across the country has gotten approval to add a new mural to one of its locations in south Marion County.
On Tuesday, the Belleview City Commission approved a request from Checkers to create a mural at their location in the city, which is situated at 5497 SE Abshier Boulevard.
The mural will resemble one that is currently displayed at a location in Tampa, Florida. According to city records, it will be specific to Belleview.
There are two other Checkers locations in Marion County outside of Belleview. Both are situated in Ocala.
The fast food company has made drastic changes to its facilities over the years, simultaneously improving aesthetics and functionality.
In addition to new murals, Checkers employs artificial intelligence to receive orders in its drive-thru lanes.
