Marion County firefighters were dispatched to a heavily wooded area in southeast Ocala on Sunday morning after flames engulfed a recreational vehicle.
At around 8:25 a.m. on Sunday, several Marion County Fire Rescue units responded to the 5200 block of SE 26th Avenue after a 911 caller reported seeing a large fire in the area, according to MCFR.
Within minutes, the first MCFR unit arrived on scene and observed an RV that was “fully involved in flames.” Using a hose, the firefighters immediately began attacking the blaze.
Additional firefighters soon arrived on scene to assist with battling the fire. According to MCFR, the fire was called under control shortly after 9 a.m.
There were no injuries reported.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause and origin of the fire, according to MCFR.
