The Ocali Country Days Festival will return to Ocala this weekend.

The Ocali Country Days Festival will highlight Florida life in the 1800s with live music and historic displays in its return to Ocala this weekend.

The festival will take place at the Silver River Museum (1445 NE 58th Avenue) in Ocala on Saturday, November 9, and Sunday, November 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors will experience the Florida of yesteryear with living history exhibits highlighting folk life and the 1800s.

The event will feature crafters demonstrating old-time skills like cast iron cooking, spinning, and blacksmithing.

Additionally, visitors may explore pioneer cabins, watch sugar cane syrup being made, or take a tram ride through the state park.

Several bands will give live performances during the event, including Gainesville band “Sawgrass Slims,” featuring Eli Tragash and Virginia Carr; J.W. Gilmore and the Blues Authority from St. Augustine, and Florida folk legend Jon Prestage from Indiantown, among others.

All proceeds help support educational programming at the Silver River Museum.

Festival admission is $10 per person and children 5 years of age and under are free. State park entry and parking are free for the weekend, according to event organizers.
