I think electronic bikes are ruining our roads

To the Editor:

Every day, I see these E-bikes speeding along the side of the road or, more often, on the sidewalk.

These riders often do not stop at intersections and just speed along on their way, quite often driving against traffic.

It is time that these vehicles be required to adhere to rules of the road. I feel they should be treated as Mopeds.

I have spoken with one individual who claimed to have lost his license due to a DUI, but since E-bikes don’t require a license, he can zip along at 35 MPH and no one will stop him.
