The state has identified an Ocala woman who won $1 million from a scratch-off she purchased at a local gas station.
The Florida Lottery has identified the winner winner of the scratch-off as Yeraldiny Luevano Baza, of Ocala. According to records from the organization, Baza claimed a $1 million prize from the $15,000,000 Diamond Spectacular scratch-off game.
Baza purchased her winning ticket at the Quick King Food Store #12, located at 7947 W. Highway 40 in Ocala. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $606,700.00.
The identification comes as the 90-day anonymity period provided under Florida law has expired. Baza originally claimed her winnings on December 3, 2025. Under Florida Statute 24.1051, the names of lottery winners who claim prizes of $250,000 or greater are temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days to allow them time to secure their finances and privacy.
The retailer in this instance received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
Baza is one of several Ocala and Marion County residents to strike it rich with the Florida Lottery over the past year. Other recent local winners include:
- Jennifer Hatchett, 47, of Ocala, who claimed a $1 million prize from the “$1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular” scratch-off.
- David Davison, of Ocala, who also claimed a $1 million prize from a 500X THE CASH ticket purchased at a 7-Eleven on SE Maricamp Road.
- Sara Mallory, of Ocklawaha, who won $1 million from a Monopoly Secret Vault scratch-off after spotting a “lucky dime” outside a store in Belleview.
The $15,000,000 Diamond Spectacular is one of the Florida Lottery’s newer high-stakes games, having launched in September 2025. The $30 ticket offers overall odds of winning at 1-in-2.61. The odds of winning the $1 million prize are 1 in 4,865,513.
According to the Florida Lottery, only one of the two $15 million grand prizes remains, and only one of four $1 million prizes remains available in the game.
