Carol Diane Kinchen Morgan Nelson died at her home in Silver Springs, Florida on March 7, 2026. Carol was born to Robert Lee Kinchen and Alba Joyce Carr Kinchen on September 12, 1953 in Tampa, Florida.

She graduated from Turkey Creek High School in 1971 prior to starting her career at various businesses: J.C. Newman Cigar Factory, Private Day Care, Gibsonia Baptist Church Day Care, Home Day Care, Bra Factory, the Lakeland Title Office and the Marion County Tag Office.

She attended the First Church of God in Sydney, Florida as a teenager and at a later time a Car Club in Ocala, Florida. She had a multitude of hobbies: shopping (biggest!!), drawing, painting, sewing, decorating, gardening, line dancing, singing, watching movies, antiquing and thrifting. She owned many collectibles with jewelry being her #1. Old cars were special to her and specifically her 1960 corvette. She loved riding a Harley, following Facebook and loving like Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Phillip Reed Morgan and her mother, Alba Joyce Carr Kinchen.

She is survived by her loving husband Edward Thomas Nelson; father, Robert Lee Kinchen & his wife Lois Kinchen; sisters, Dee Dee Grooms and husband Carl; Denise Alderman and husband Jim; and Darla Nutter and husband Brook; nieces, Kristi Groom Barnes and husband Derek; Danielle Nutter; and Bella Nutter; nephew, Dustin Grooms and wife Alison; and a great-niece Skyler Brook Grooms.
