James Lawrence Price, known to many simply as James, passed away on May 29, 2026, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 74. Born on August 18, 1951, he lived a life marked by devotion, service, faith, and deep love for his family and community.

James was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and his sense of duty and discipline remained with him throughout his life. Following his military service, he became the owner of J&G Aluminum, where he built a reputation for hard work, integrity, and reliability. He approached every responsibility with care and determination, and those who worked with him knew they could count on his steady presence and strong character.

For 34 years, James served as a youth and young adult pastor, a calling that reflected the heart of who he was. He was Christlike in spirit, loved the Lord, and carried his faith into every part of his life. He had a gift for seeing the good in others, and he offered encouragement, kindness, and wisdom to many along the way. He also leaves behind his children, Cynthia Brito and her husband Michael, Dr. Melissa Kilcrease and her husband Bishop Paul, and Sarah Daniels. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Jason Jr., Austin, Deanna, Deja, Savannah, Trenton, Dawson, Jordan, Haley, Caleb, Ellianna, and Lucy, as well as his great-grandchildren, Brantley, Amelia, Oaklyn, Daxton, Aaron, Rynlee, Hudson, Hayes, Haven, Dawson Jr., and Ivy. He is also survived by his sisters, Lorraine, Edith, Roberta along with nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members who loved him dearly.

In addition to his many responsibilities and accomplishments, James found joy in the simple things that brought him happiness. He enjoyed collecting comics, Star Wars memorabilia, his garden and shooting guns. These interests reflected his playful side and the passions he enjoyed sharing with others. He appreciated life, loved meaningful conversation, and found joy in the things that made him smile.

Those who knew James will remember his loving nature and the way he made others feel valued. He was a man who loved deeply and sincerely, and he especially cherished his wife, his girls, and his grandchildren. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in watching them grow, succeed, and build their own lives. His presence brought comfort, strength, and laughter to those around him.
