In Loving Memory of Eleith Hope Reed August 6, 1939 – June 22, 2026 Eleith Hope Reed, 86, of Ocala, Florida, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior on Sunday, June 22, 2026.

She was born on August 6, 1939, in Saint Ann’s, Jamaica, West Indies, the beloved daughter of Kenneth Hope Goodrich and Mae Hyacinth Davis. From those green Jamaican hills, Eleith carried with her a grace and gentleness that would mark her whole life — a quiet spirit that, as those closest to her came to know, spoke only when there was something worth saying. And when she spoke, people listened.

Eleith built a remarkable career in New York, beginning as a Crew Time Scheduler for Pan American Airlines during the golden age of aviation. She also worked at the Airport Bookstore at JFK, where books and travelers passed through her hands each day. Later, she devoted her gifts to little ones at Childhood Development Services — a fitting chapter for a woman who believed so deeply in nurturing the next generation.

But it was at home, in the company of family, where Eleith’s heart truly lived. She was a wonderful cook, and her kitchen was a place of warmth and welcome. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, with a devotion that was steady, unwavering, and felt in a thousand quiet ways.

She was a woman of faith, drawing strength from the Serenity Prayer and from a saying passed down from her grandmother that became her own: “When man on earth has done his best, angels in heaven can do no more.” She lived by those words — doing her best, and trusting God with the rest.

Eleith was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mae Goodrich; her siblings, Hubert Athalen Goodrich, Norma Goodrich, and Keith Alan Goodrich; her first husband, Albert Junious Enoch; and her sons, Albert Mandel Enoch and Roderick Edward Enoch.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, George Albert Reed; her daughter, Ave Maria Faith Enoch Bremerman; her son, John Dallas Enoch; her cherished grandsons: Atreyu Taj Enoch, Jamal M. Enoch, Jamique Enoch, Rod Enoch II, Rashede Enoch, and Daiquane King Enoch; her granddaughters: Sheniqua Charisse Neal, Karys Madison Enoch, and Jahiya Enoch; six beloved great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her grace.

Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and kindness shown during this time of remembrance.
