Our beloved mother and Nana, Joanne Kathleen Shaub, 85, of Ocala, Florida, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 4, 1940, in Tampa, Florida, the eighth of nine children born to Ethel and Carl Craig. A devoted follower of Christ, Joanne lived her life as a testament to her faith, beautifully reflecting the virtues of love, joy, and service to others. Over the years, she faithfully attended church, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and participated in numerous church activities.

Her life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and her passion for helping others, always putting the needs of her loved ones before her own. Joanne’s joy and beautiful smile lit up the lives of everyone who knew her. She found great happiness in cooking and baking for others; her house was always open and inviting, the coffee was always hot, and her phone operated like a 24-hour prayer line.

Throughout her life, Joanne shared her many talents by working as a cosmetologist, nail technician, cake decorator, in furniture sales and interior decorating, and in various other service roles. Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Carl Craig; her mother, Ethel Stutt; her brothers, Raymond Craig, Charles Craig, Herman Craig, and Ernest Craig; her sisters, Juanita Howett, Gracie Williams, and Linda Lindstrom; her son, Shane; and her grandsons, Curtis Yarbrough and Ryan Gandy.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith and love to be cherished by her surviving family: her children, Robert Shaub (Teresa), Richard Yarbrough (Debbie), and Kathy Nick (Mark); her beloved grandchildren, Robert Shaub, Jr., Michael Shaub (Lauren), Ashley Shaub, Sophia Hightower (Cade), and Jessa Nick; her adored great-grandchildren, Landon Yarbrough, Wyatt Yarbrough, Scarlett and Emma Yarbrough, Edyn Shaub, Selah Shaub, Farrah Shaub, Hollyn Shaub, Sutton Shaub; and Athena Gandy; her sister, Betty Pfaff; her sisters-in-law, Billie Jean Craig and Patricia Craig.; and her many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Joanne’s life and home-going will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Roberts of Ocala West Chapel, 6241 SW State Rd. 200, Ocala, FL 34476.

The family will receive family and friends for a visitation at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
