A local group will host its annual memorial reading at the Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park to honor deceased veterans this weekend.
Marion County Veterans Services will host its semi-annual memorial reading on Saturday, July 11, at 9 a.m., at theOcala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park, which is located at 2601 E. Fort King Street in Ocala.
The free outdoor event honors local military veterans who passed away between December 2025 and May 2026.
The tribute is open to the public and features a reading of the names of the deceased, accompanied by a ceremonial bell toll and drumming.
The service will also include keynote remarks, a traditional color guard, a rifle salute, and the playing of taps performed by the Marion County Memorial Honor Guard.
