James Magnuson, 73, 11/28/52- 07/10/2026. James was born in Brooklyn, NY to parents, George and Delores magnuson.

James started working as butcher in Brooklyn then became a bus driver for the New York transit authority. A bus accident in 93′ caused him to retire and move his family to ocala Florida where we joined his mother and brother’s. Jim started coaching his son’s in babe Ruth baseball and quickly took over as the president of the league.

Jim loved coaching kids and being there to lead the way. Few years later Jim and Gary Peters opened up 4 season sunrooms and operated for many years. Jim was a lifetime member of moose lodge 1199 and 1014 and worked as administrator and held various board seats. He loved crabbing, playing poker, golf, crossword enthusiast, billards and working with his hands, but most of all spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up.

Jim is proceeded in death by his father, George Sr; mother, Delores; brothers Georgie and Chrissy, sister Linda, his neice, Stacy Ann and father-in-law, Doug. He is survived by his wife, Jen; son’s: Keith(dawn) and Brandon(Stefanie), daughter Erica soto (Ed), brothers: Brian and Eugene; mother-in-law, Marie, ex wife Pat; grandson’s: R.J and Tyler; granddaughters: Hailey, Olivia, Mya, Alyssa, Bri and Kelsie, great-grand daughter, Selena; and his dog, deogie and numerous cousins, neices, nephews and many many friends.

Jim was the anchor of his family and will leave an everlasting impact on this world and his legacy. He would give you the shirt of his back and treated everyone with the upmost respect . Couldn’t of asked for a better husband, son, father, brother and friend. Rest in peace pops!
