“The National Park Service says ‘all invasive species are non-native, but not all non-native species are invasive. A species becomes invasive when its presence causes harm to the existing ecosystem, often by disrupting the relationships native species have with one another.’ Ocala National Forest residents say ‘We love the Forest.’ How can you love the forest if you refuse to Spay/Neuter your cats that go outside? You’re allowing an infinite amount of prey to decimate native species that are critical for the sustainability of the environment, that is so beautiful that it draws transplants and visitors from all of the 50 states, not including the territories. Keep the environment beautiful, native species and all.” – A Silver Springs resident shares his opinion.
